JEAN-MARC SINGIER

Jean-Marc Singier was born in 1954 in Paris, France. He studied composition with Franco Donatoni at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome and, in seminars, with Gyorgy Ligeti, Aurel Stroe and Brian Ferneyhough. From 1986 until 1988 he was in residence at the Villa Medici, Rome. He currently teaches musical analysis at the Conservatoire of Auxerre and has worked at IRCAM.

Jean-Marc's compositions include works for orchestra, instrumental ensembles with and without voices, with and without electro-acoustics and for solo instruments.
